• An assessment of structures outside the mouth

• Gum health assessment

• Assessment of current oral hygiene

• Oral cancer screening

• A detailed assessment of all teeth and existing dental restorations

• X-rays to assess non-visible structures (if appropriate)

• Removal of tartar, plaque and stain (if appropriate)

• Application of topical fluoride varnish

• Advice and guidance on ways to improve oral health
